Lord of Chaos
"Lord of Chaos" is a film adaptation based on the real-life events surrounding the early Norwegian black metal scene and the notorious band Mayhem. The story primarily revolves around the tumultuous relationship between band members Euronymous (played by Rory Culkin) and Varg Vikernes (played by Emory Cohen), and the destructive forces that led to the infamous events in the early 1990s.
Euronymous, the guitarist and founder of Mayhem, is determined to push the boundaries of the black metal genre and create a rebellious movement. However, his ambition and desire for notoriety attract darker forces. Varg Vikernes, a mysterious and ideologically driven musician, joins Mayhem, but their collaboration quickly turns into a power struggle as Varg seeks to impose his extremist beliefs on the band.
As Mayhem gains notoriety in the underground scene, the group becomes entangled in a web of violence, arson, and ultimately murder. The rivalry between Euronymous and Varg intensifies, leading to a series of shocking and tragic events that will forever change the course of black metal history.
